Eve of the Eve of Christmas
I do not walk in your shoes. Only you truly experience and understand the joys and difficulties of your life. While that statement is true from a human perspective, it is not true from God’s perspective.
God knows us better than we know ourselves. Jesus knit each of us wonderfully together, as a Master Craftsman pours over a masterpiece. God also knows all of our life’s circumstances. After forming us together with such love and diligence, he does not cast our life to fate. He diligently watches over us and continuously expresses his good will to each of us very clearly; however without violating or disrespecting our freewill. As we choose, we reap some of the joys and difficulties of life. Even if we choose well, we also participate in life’s uncertainties as none of us are immune to sudden joys and tragedies. Life is uncertain.
If we admitted it, we have so little control over the outcomes in our life. Choose to suffer your pride to die, in your moment of realization that you are not capable of even making a single hair on your head grow or add a second to your life, you can begin to appreciate God for who he is; I Am from everlasting to everlasting.
It is healthy to want a secure present and future; goodwill for us and all. Only God can provide that kind of life, but only within the framework of a true loving relationship. A relationship built on honesty, mutual understanding and respect. So if you want a secure present and future, I urge you to seek God out with all your heart and with all your mind and with all your strength! God will reveal himself to you and has provided the only right relationship through his Son Jesus Christ.
The good news is Jesus our redeeming Messiah loves you and wants to walk with you every day you have left on earth and for all eternity. Now that truly is Goodwill toward man, but only for those who accept his gift of love. This Christmas, find Him while he can be found!
